Are you interested in becoming a Stephen Minister?
Stephen Ministers are members of our church family who have received 50 hours of training to care for people experiencing a crisis or going through a difficult time in life.
A Stephen Minister is…
  • A child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting
  • A congregation member with gifts for caregiving, who was carefully selected to serve in this role
  • A lay person who has received 50 hours of initial training in important caring ministry skills and concepts
  • A caring Christian friend who listens, cares, prays, supports and encourages
  • Someone who will “be there” for his or her care receiver, meeting faithfully for about an hour each week, for as long as there’s a need
Stephen Ministry training is offered periodically
  • It teaches principles and skills that help provide high-quality emotional and spiritual care to care receivers
  • It will deepen your faith and transform your heat to allow God to be the cure giver in every situation
  • You will belong to a community of care givers who listen, support and pray for each other
