7/21/2010 Our Daily Walk
Reading Proverbs 21:1-5 reminded me of a few key thoughts:

First, God is sovereign and He directs our paths.  Verse 1 says, "The king's heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; He turns it wherever He pleases."

Where is God directing your attention today?

Second, motive counts.  The Lord cares about our heart attitude and the motives behind our actions.  "The Lord is more pleased when we do what is just and right than when we give him sacrifices." (v.3)

What are you facing today that requires a right attitude and godly response?

And last, "good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty." (v. 5)

Are you taking any hasty shortcuts today?
