Our mission statement at GCF is "Live the Mission: Making & Teaching Followers of Jesus Christ.

We seek to do this through personal outreach, Sunday Worship, Smaller Group Bible studies, and targeted ministries to children, youth, college age, and adults. But by far, the most effective way we live the mission is one person inviting another person to meet Christ Jesus and learn about His teachings.

Between now and Easter Sunday, think about the people God has placed around you and pray about reaching out to one.  Invite to church (and be willing to try more than once). Offer to pray for a need or burden you see them laboring under.  Share a Bible verse(or give them a New Testament).  Give some literature, like a small booklet, or maybe note a column from a Christian blog or internet site.  Be creative and use something that is meaningful and helpful to you in your own spiritual life.

Quoting Pastor Kent Hughes: "We must understand that we have a sovereign God who orders all of life, including our relationships and that our friendships,as well as our casual encounters, are not a list of social accidents.  God has placed us in our particular families, neighborhoods, and workplaces for a reason. He has put us next to people He wants us to influence for Christ."

WOW!  What a great thought. Who has God placed around you to influence for Christ?

With you in Living the Mission,

Pastor Mike
